What You Will Need To Start Photography

Photography can be a fun hobby. It's an expensive hobby. This will be a guild to how you can be a photographer on a budget. Why spend more than you can afford? This blog will have affiliate links. I will just get a small reward for showing you some stuff at no extra cost for you. I will just suggest a few items. I suggest slowly building your gear. Get Yourself A Camera While your phone can work if you are just getting started, you are going to need a camera if you are going to be serious about photography. Your phone has restrictions like storage space. I always have issues with storage space on my phone. I record vlogs as well as photography and it's rough. I would highly recommend making a wish list of things you are interested in buying. You will need some photo editor apps. You can use canva, photoshop, lightroom, pixlr and many more. Editing your photos will make them look so much better. You Are Going To Need A Camera bag It's not really a requirement, b

I Quit Band Because Of Anxiety

It's pretty common for people to end up quitting something they love due to mental health reasons or just health reasons in general. I actually liked being in the band when I was in school.  I got interested in music in the 4th grade when the fine arts teacher took us downtown to see the symphony and I liked it. The teacher showed us classical music and I found it neat. I wanted to do the band. Unfortunately, the lessons were not during school hours. So I had to wait until Jr. High. At least I was closer to my Jr. High School and I can walk home or someone can meet me if I needed to stay after school. I have a crippling fear of playing for people by myself. I even freaked out over section solos in the piece(s) that we played. There were times where my mom's ex-boyfriend asked me to play for him and I said no because I was too afraid to do so. I feel my anxiety could have been a reason for this.  People told me I was bad because my nervousness caused me to miss some notes. A

How To Stop Being Busy And Get Organized

Hey you, yes you, stop being busy! I know, easier said than done, right. Just hear me out. Learn to get organized. Having autism, being busy and having 1 million things to do will just drive me insane. So I learn some methods to help make my life easier. Life doesn't have to be busy, it's busy because we make it that way. Once you learn time management, things will be easier for you. One trait people with autism have is they are good at organization. I feel this is a skill I should share with you. This blog may have affiliate links. I will get a % of the earnings when you buy something. It will not cost you anything extra. I only suggest items that I know of or trust. Get A To-do list Plan out the things you plan on doing for the week. like a to-do list. You should not have no more than 5 items on your list. If you put 10 things on your list and you can only get done let's say 3 things, you're just adding even more to your plate. You have to finish your ta

My First Book About Autism, Release Date, Preorders and More!

I have finished my book about autism and I am set to release it May 31st. I am using Gumroad to publish the book. You can preorder your copy now! If you use the code 'wired differently,' you will get 1 dollar off. The book is 2.99. With the code I provided for you, you will get the book for 1.99. I wore this book to educate others on how we struggle with employment. Imagine posting on Facebook about needing money for something you want and some jerk says 'get a job you lazy ***' Don't you wish they knew it wasn't that simple for you? Don't you wish they knew you can't find or hold a job due to your autism? This book explains some reasons why we struggle to find or keep a job. You may see this is as negative. You have to point out the problem to find a solution, right? I do have a proposal that I feel will fix our issue. You have to know why you want to make a change. Promo video will be up on my channel Aaliyah Holt. This book can help th

Things You Shouldn't Say To Someone With Anxiety

There are some things you should not tell someone with anxiety. Sometimes we mean well, but your phrases hurt instead of help. Some people are straight up ignorant when it comes to mental health. I've been dealing with anxiety since the 8th grade. I always felt I need to use the bathroom 'just in case' something happens. The teachers just didn't understand my anxiety and were really quick to speak on what works for them. My mom hopped on the same train. Not understanding different things work for different people. I was going to the bathroom because of anxiety. Something I can't control. Anxiety is a tough disorder and people act as though it can be cured like a cold. That Could Happen I am quite sure they are aware of this, you are going to make things worse. For instance, I am afraid to have my wisdom teeth out because I am afraid I will die since there are stories of people dying/getting sick after visiting the dentist. Like when I was in high school, m
